Malang, E Java (ANTARA News) - A total of 673 Indonesian multipurpose military personnel (Banser) will join in securing President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono scheduled to open the 11th Jamiyah Ahli Toriqot Al Muthabaroh Anadiyah Congress at Al Munawariyah Islamic Boarding School, Malang, East Java, on January 11, 2012.

Deputy Head of the Indonesian Banser National Coordinator Unit Abdul Mudjib Sadzilis said Sunday that the participation of Banser in securing the president is the result of coordination with the Indonesian military (TNI) and other security personnel in Malang.

"Preparations of the event have been 75 pct completed, including security," Abdul Mudjib said.

He said the security standard will be on VVIP basis (President).

In the meantime, the congress will be attended by thousands of religious leaders and observers from various parts of Indonesia.

Earlier, Malang police chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Rinto Djatmono said the congressional committee had coordinated everything related to the President`s upcoming visit.

Rinto said Malang police will deploy 900 security personnel. (*)
