House of Representatives (DPR) member Muhammad Nasir Djamil said here Thursday the information on the police already knowing who the terror actors were was obtained during a dialog between a visiting team of the House`s Commission III and the Aceh police.
A 12-member House Commission III team, led by Nasir Djamil, made a working visit to Aceh on January 10-11, 2012 to observe the situation in relation with the incidents and collect relevant information.
Djamil said although they had already identified the groups responsible for the security disturbances, the Aceh police had yet to move to arrest anyone pending further instructions from Jakarta.
A report on the identification of the terror groups had already been sent to the National Police Chief in Jakarta but no instruction had been received so far to act against them, Djamil said.
The Aceh police had identified two groups as the parties behind the security disturbances. They consisted of " old as well as new players," he said.
Djamil who is a legislator representing Aceh hoped that the security agencies would be able to take swift action against the perpetrators of the security disturbances which had caused great anxiety among the people of Aceh.
He said the security disturbances had to do with the implementation of a gubernatorial election in Aceh on February 16, 2012. (*)
