President Yudhoyono and his entourage left Ecuador after following a military tribute ceremony at Quito military airbase to end his more than one-week trip to Mexico, Brazil, and Ecuador.
In Mexico, the Indonesian head of state attended G-20 Summit in Los Cabos, besides delivering his keynote address at business (B-20 Summit), and stated Indonesia`s commitment of financial inclusion at the Los Cabos Financial Inclusion Event.
Presidential special staff for international relations Teuku Faizasyah said Indonesia at the G-20 Summit encouraged global economic recovery through a number of proposals.
Faizasyah added that Indonesia also proposed that the interest of developing countries remain part of G-20 main agenda, especially dealing with development, infrastructure, and financial inclusion.
Besides attending G-20 Summit, President Yudhoyono also attended sustainable development summit of Rio+20 in Rio de Jenairo, Brazil, from June 20-22, 2012.
From Brazil, President Yudhoyono made his way to Ecuador for a state visit.
His visit to Ecuador was the first since the two countries established diplomatic relations on April 29, 1980.
