The president's visit to attend the annual leaders meeting will be focused on increasing economic cooperation and strengthening higher connectivity between Indonesia`s eastern regions and the Northern Territory in Australia
Jakarta, July (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to leave for Darwin Monday morning for a three-day working visit in Australia until Wednesday, Presidential Staff for Foreign Affairs Teuku Faizasyah said in a press statement on Monday.

Faizasyah said that the President who was to be accompanied by Mrs Ani Yudhoyono would be visiting Australia to attend The 2nd Indonesia-Australia Annual Leaders Meeting.

The first annual meeting of the leaders of the two countries was first held in Bali in November 2011.

President Yudhoyono's agenda during his visit in Australia included a bilateral talk with Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard and a meeting with Chief Minister of Northern Territory Paul Raymond Henderson and opposition leader Tony Abbott who would pay courtesy calls on him.

Yudhoyono will also visit the National Critical Care and Trauma Response Center in Royal Darwin Hospital. This hospital is currently establishing cooperation with the Sanglah Hospital in Bali, Indonesia.

"The president's visit to attend the annual leaders meeting will be focused on increasing economic cooperation and strengthening higher connectivity between Indonesia`s eastern regions and the Northern Territory in Australia," Faizasyah said.

He said that the Darwin meeting will also evaluate the follow-up of the decisions made during the first meeting in Bali on November 20, 2011.
