Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Chairman of the Constitutional Court (MK) Mahfud MD said he has warned the secretary general of the institution not to lobby and beg the House of Representatives for budget fund.

He said MK did not complain despite the cut in the budget, adding the spirit of carrying out its constitutional mission should not be weakened by the budget slashing.

"For the interest of the state MK should remain incorruptible and firm not allowing itself to be politically steered or blocked over budget," he said.

Such programs have run well since the era under Pak Jimly (Jimly Asshiddiqie, his predecessor), he said.
