The incident came one day after a bloody Saturday when a wave of attacks struck across the country and killed dozens of people, making the day the deadliest since early September.Baghdad (ANTARA News/Xinhua-OANA) - A car bombing left 13 dead and 28 others wounded in a major Shiite district in Iraq`s capital of Baghdad on Sunday evening, a police source said.
A car bomb was detonated in Baghdad`s northern district of Kadimiya, which is home to a well-known Shiite shrine, and caused the casualties, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity because he is not authorized to speak to the media.
Several civilian vehicles and nearby buildings also suffered damages in the explosion, the source added. Earlier he put the toll at three killed and 12 wounded.
