"I was detained."
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Police Inspector General Djoko Susilo was detained after being grilled for eight hours by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) here on Monday.

"Today following questioning and based upon a detention order after a legal process I was detained," he said after the questioning.

The former chief of the National Traffic Police Corps was put in the KPK new detention center located in the Military Police Detachment compound belonging to the Jakarta Military Command in Guntur, South Jakarta.

The KPK has rented and renovated the detention center from the miliary which has two rooms to accomodate four people.

"At around 6.15pm the KPK investigators put DS, the former chief of the Traffic Police Corps, in the KPK branch of Class 1 East Jakarta state detention center in Guntur for 20 days," KPK spokesman Johan Budi said.

Djoko would be in the cell along with Zulkarnaen Djabar, a legislator involved in the alleged corruption linked to budget allocation for the ministry of religious affairs and an ad hoc judge from the Pontianak corruption court who had allegedly received bribes.
