Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Around 10 thousands of workers, grouped in the Confederation of Indonesian Workers Union (KSPI), will take to the streets of Jakarta on Wednesday to demand improvement of their fate.

"The workers across Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi) will converge on Hotel Indonesia roundabout before marching to the office of people`s welfare minister at 11 am," KSPI Chairman Said Iqbal said.

He said that at the same time thousands of outsourcing workers will also stage similar rally to demand the improvement of their fate at the office of state enterprises minister, state electricity company PLN, PT Telekom, and PT Pertamina.

According to Iqbal, other workers also plan to stage the rally from 2-5 pm at the offices of health ministry and manpower and transmigration.

He said the workers will demand the revision of Presidential Regulation No.12/2013 on health insurance and the revision of Government Regulation No.101/2012.(*)
