PT NEC Indonesia (“NEC Indonesia”), a wholly owned subsidiary of NEC Asia Pacific Pte Ltd and the market leader in providing total solutions for the Indonesian telecommunications industry, welcomes Mr. Takayuki Kano as its new President Director, with effect from today.

Mr. Kano has over 25 years of overseas market sales experience since he joined NEC Corporation in April 1987. His experience in the IT industry is extensive, having previously held several regional and overseas management positions since the inception of his career. Mr. Kano started out involved in sales in the NEC Corporation’s North America Business Promotion Division before switching to Asia Market division in 1992. He moved to the Bangkok Representative Office in 1994 for 5 years and later returned to Japan to assume several key sales managerial positions. Prior to his appointment as President Director of PT NEC Indonesia, Mr. Kano was Deputy Managing Director of NEC India from 2008 to 2011 before he went on to serve as the Deputy General Manager of the Greater China and Asia Pacific Division for 2 years.

Mr. Takayuki Kano replaces Mr. Takeshi Tsukamoto, who has been leading PT NEC Indonesia since 25 May 2009. Mr. Tsukamoto will be moving to NEC headquarters in Japan to assume position as the General Manager of the Greater China and Asia Pacific Division.
