Next year KPK plans to do the same in other state institutes."
Palembang, South Sumatra (ANTARA News) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) begins to watchdog the process of accepting new students of the State Administration Institute (IPDN) as the process easily becomes the target of abuse of power.

Director for Research and Development of KPK Roni Dwi Susanto said the anti graft agency has cooperated with the Home Affairs Ministry in watching the process.

"No other purpose than to ensure that the process is clean and that the alumni would be better in quality," Roni said here on Wednesday.

More important is to monitor the finance of the state institute, to prevent misuse of the state fund, he said.

"Next year KPK plans to do the same in other state institutes," he said.

Meanwhile, an executive of the financial watchdog of development projects (BPKP) Bambang Utoyo said the agency is supervising the process of acceptance of new civil servants.

Bribery is also reported rampant in the process of accepting new civil servants. Many parents would be ready to pay high for their children accepted as new civil servants.

Bambang said control would be directed more to preventing misuse of budget.
