Suyadi bin Paiman Cipto Surwano, former head of the Nusantara Sungailiat fishing port was charged with corruption in the procurement of a vessel the Mina Antareja.
Attorney general office spokesman Setia Untung Arimuladi said here Suryadi was nabbed on Sunday at a Batam hospital.
Setia said Suryadi and his accomplice Tagoruddin as the project leader were charged with embezzling state fund in December, 2004 causing a loss of Rp810 million to the state.
The dossier of Tagoruddin was already submitted to corruption court of Pangkalpinang, in Bangka Belitung, he said.
"Suryadi would be flown to Bangka Belitung on Monday morning, he said.
