Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will receive a courtesy visit from the Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG) Foreign Ministers Delegation at the Presidential Palace, here, on Wednesday.

President Yudhoyono was scheduled to receive a courtesy visit from the MSG Delegation, which includes Fijis Foreign Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola, Papua New Guineas (PNG) Foreign Minister Rimbink Pato, and Solomon Islands Foreign Minister Soalaoi Clay Forau, at 2 p.m. Indonesian Western Time.

Previously, in a press statement given to the Jayapura, Papua, media on Jan. 13, 2013, and made available to Antara, the PNG Foreign Minister had said that his country and the rest of the MSG members would always support Papuas status as part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), noting that this was an inviolable stance.

Pato admitted that some groups in Papua had asked to be included in the MSG, but this wish could not be granted since Papua is legally part of Indonesia.

Regarding the MSG Delegations visit to Jayapura, Pato pointed out that it was intended to evaluate cooperation for the economy and education and cultural sectors.

During the visit to Papua, the MSG Delegation met Papuan Governor Lukas Enembe and other stakeholders; they also visited Jayapura Vocational High School I prior to heading to Ambon in Maluku.
