"The eclipse can be observed from Indonesia, except in western Java and the western islands of Kalimantan and Sumatra," the BMKGs chief Andi Eka Sakya said here on Friday.
According to him, people in Indonesia will only be able to observe the last part of the lunar eclipse process.
In a total lunar eclipse, the moon will be exactly in the Umbra area, the middle core shadow, and was a very dark eclipse.
In addition, the lunar eclipse can be observed from western Africa and western Europe as well as the Atlantic Ocean when the moon was setting.
The rising of the moon during the eclipse process can be observed in the western part of the Pacific Ocean, in Australia and in eastern Asia.
In 2014, it was predicted that there will be four eclipses, namely a total lunar eclipse on April 15, a ring solar eclipse on April 29, a total lunar eclipse on October 8 and a partial solar eclipse on October 23, 2014.(*)
