Negative campaign is to spice up the implementation of election 2014."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Chairman of the Indonesian Womens Congress (KOWANI) Dewi Motik Pramono said that negative campaign is a normal phenomenon during presidential election.
"Negative campaign is to spice up the implementation of election 2014. So for presidential and vice presidential candidate do not be afraid, especially if you are not wrong," he said when met at KOWANI headquarters here on Tuesday.
Dewi Motik said that people are getting smart in processing the information given to them. Society also has a better understanding about what kind of leader figure they want.
Ahead of the implementation of the presidential election next July 9 2014, there are many circulated video, short messages in the mobile phone even flyers that contained negative accusations against one of the presidential and vice presidential candidate.
There are two candidates who will compete in presidential election, Joko Widodo with his vice-presidential candidate Muhammad Jusuf Kalla, who are carried by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), the National Democratic Party (Nasdem), the National Awakening Party (PKB) and the Peoples Conscience Party (Hanura).
Other presidential candidates are Prabowo Subianto with his vice-presidential candidate Hatta Radjasa who are carried by Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra), the National Mandate Party (PAN), Party of Functional Groups (Golkar), the National Development Party (PPP) and the Party of Justice Sejahtera (PKS).
