According to a press statement made available for Antara in London on Saturday, the working plan, including archival cooperation for 2013-2016, was signed by ANRI Head Mustari Irawan and counterpart Miladin Milosevic at the Yugoslavia Archive Building in Belgrade, the Republic of Serbia.
The spokesperson of the Indonesian Embassy in Serbia, Ariana Yulianti, said the working plan was a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) about the archival cooperation agreement signed in Jakarta, Indonesia, on March 13, 2013.
One of the focuses to be achieved through the archival cooperation was to gather and archive the files and documents related to NAM, which was established in Belgrade in 1961.
Ariana says all of the archives will be compiled in a book, to be called the "Memory of the World of Non-Aligned Movement", and will be also recognized by UNESCO as one of the worlds most important historical documents.
"The book is targeted to be finished in 2016," said Ariana.
Some efforts have been managed by the two archive institutions, especially in order to receive supportive help from other NAM member countries to compile various resource documents.
At the same time, the two countries also prepared a documentary book about Indonesia and Yugoslavias history, entitled "Yugoslavia-Indonesia from 1945 to 1974", which was written by Professor Ljbodrag Dimic from the Philosophy Faculty of Belgrade University, along with Chairman of Indonesia-Serbia Friendship Association Aleksandar Rakovic and AJRS Director Miladin Milosevic.
The launching of the book was called one of noticeable achievements of the 60 year diplomatic relationship between Indonesia and Serbia, as well as to inform the younger generation about the close relationship established by two founding fathers, Soekarno of Indonesia and Josip Broz Tito of Serbia.***1***
