"This cooperation is a continuation of our past work," Rector of Tel-U Prof. Dr Mochamad Azhari stated in Bandung, Jumat.
Last August, Tel-U sent 20 students in an exchange program to Korea to study for a semester.
As part of the joint degree program, both Tel-U and KIT have agreed to the 2+2 scheme comprising two years in Tel-U and the subsequent two years in KIT due to the difference in the education systems in those countries.
KITs Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr Younghak Kim, noted that the specializations offered under the program were electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, and applied chemistry.
KIT has offered a scholarship (free tuition fee) to five students who have a scored a minimum GPA score of 3.00 and IELTS score of 5.5.
The students participating in this program are expected to hone their skills in the chosen area of specialization and also get international exposure.
Azhar hoped that in the upcoming years, this cooperation will help to improve the level of education in Telkom University.
