Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Current President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono had invited President-elect Joko "Jokowi" Widodo to attend an orientation at the State Palace before the inauguration, stated Indonesias Coordinating Minister of Economy Chairul Tanjung.

"President Yudhoyono invites Jokowi to come for an orientation at the State Palace on Saturday (Oct. 18) or Sunday (Oct. 19)," Minister Chairul Tanjung stated here on Monday.

Regarding the inauguration on October 20, 2014, Chairul remarked that the government has invited all factions of the Peoples Consultative Assembly (MPR) to attend the event.

The coordinating minister was also hopeful that the executives will to be able to accomplish their assigned tasks by October 19 prior to the inauguration of the new president.

During a separate interview, Head of State Intelligence Marciano Norman expressed optimism that the inauguration would run smoothly.

"There are no indications of any disturbances for the inauguration event on October 20," Marciano emphasized.

However, Marciano called on all parties, including the media, to create a conducive atmosphere ahead of the inauguration day.

"The media should participate to create a conducive situation," he emphasized.

On the same day, Monday (Oct. 13), a meeting was held at the MPR building to review the preparations for the inauguration of President-elect Joko Widodo and Vice President-elect Jusuf Kalla on October 20, 2014.

"We will hold a joint meeting with all the factions of the MPR, which are 10 factions plus the Regional Representatives Council (DPD)," noted MPRs Chairman, Zulkifli Hasan.

According to Zulkifli, after the meeting, the MPRs board of chairs will personally visit Jokowis house to deliver the invitation of the inauguration ceremony.

The MPRs board of chairs will also visit current President Yudhoyonos house on October 15, 2014.
