"They were discharged from the Golkar Party executive board and membership," executive secretary of the congress plenary session, Ulla Nuchrawati said at Westin Hotel in Nusa Dua, Bali, on Wednesday evening.
Earlier, Ulla announced 15 cadres who had been discharged from the party for creating a presidium of party savior and rejecting the outcome of the 7th national leadership meeting of the Golkar Party held in Yogyakarta.
The 15 discharged cadres are:
1. Ace Hasan Syadzily
2. Lamhot Sinaga
3. Melchias Markus Mekeng
4. Andi Sinulingga
5. Djasri Marin
6. Laurens Siburian
7. Zainuddin Amali
8. Juslin Nasution
9. Leo Nababan
10. Agung Laksono
11. Priyo Budi Santoso
12. Yorrys Raweyai
13. Ibnu Munzier
14. Ricky Rahmadi
15. Agun Gunandjar
The party also discharged Agus Gumiwang dan Nusron Wahid, bringing to 17 the number of cadres discharged under a decision of the 9th national congress.
Popularly known as Ical, Aburizal Bakrie was the sole candidate in the chairmanship election conducted during the national congress held in the Indonesian resort island of Bali on Wednesday.
He will lead the party for the 2014-2019 period.
