"The fifth victim is identified as Nurul. She is about eight years old," Chief of Bandung Districts Disaster Mitigation Agency Marlan noted here on Thursday.
The victims family had been informed about the discovery, he stated, adding that the rescue workers are continuing their efforts to find four other people who are still missing.
On Wednesday, Head of Bandung District Dadang Naser had declared an "emergency response" status in the wake of the deadly landslide.
"The emergency response status has been declared for seven days," he affirmed.
Naser stated that all villagers had been evacuated to safer places, such as mosques and the villages community center, but those affected by the landslide would likely be relocated to another area for resettlement.
"The victims will also be treated for trauma to initiate healing as part of the post-disaster recovery process," he said.
The landslide buried eight houses and damaged a gas pipeline belonging to Star Energy Geothermal.(*)
