Jakarta (ANTARA News) - A group of 17 leading French industrial companies will establish partnership with Indonesia.

CEO of Business France Muriel Penicaud and director of exports of BPI France Alain Renck will lead the companies.

"Together with BPI France we have carefully selected 17 companies to rake part in the program ," Muriel said here on Wednesday .

He said Indonesia and Singapore have been selected as the main targets for the program in Southeast Asian region on class and size of the market.

Export director of BPI France Alain Renck said the 17 companies represent the best business fields in France.

"The special industrial sectors would be represented by the companies include technology that applicable in big infrastructure projects, seaports, airports , etc, Alain said.

He said the companies have long established themselves in international market promoting French expertise, equipment and solution.

The companies are 3P- Performance Plastics Products, Alphi Sateco Internasional, Biotope SAS, Cobre Europe SA, Eclatec, EPC Groupe, F2A, Gaussin Manugistique, Hyd&Au Group, Inatis Group, Lacroix Sofrel, Mac 3 SAS, Pinette Emidecau Industries, Polytechs, Resonate MP4, Sefac SA and Vernet Behringer.

Trade between Indonesia and France has shown a positive trend over the past years . Amid the global crisis, the bilateral trade was valued at US$3.2 billion in 2014 favoring France with a surplus of US$200 million.

Increase is potential in the bilateral trade.

Frances investment in Indonesia has increased with 160 French companies operating in Indonesia.

Among the French companies are Danone Aqua in food processing industry, Total E&P in oil; and gas mining industry and Alstom in energy industry.
