... the ASEAN-Russia Summit 2016 that begins on Friday."Sochi, Russia (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and other ASEAN leaders are expected to attend the ASEAN-Russia Summit hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"The commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the cooperation between ASEAN and Russia is marked by the ASEAN-Russia Summit 2016 that begins on Friday," Ari Dwipayana of the Presidential Communication Team stated here, Friday.
The meeting of the summit leaders is scheduled to begin at 12:10 p.m. local time at the Radisson Blu Congress Center in Sochi to discuss the efforts to intensify cooperation between Russia and the ASEAN member nations.
The leaders will also attend a business forum and plenary session.
Prior to the summit, President Jokowi is scheduled to hold business meetings with Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin and Alpha Pacific Group CEO Oleg Gobulin on Friday morning.
After the summit, Jokowi will return home via Abu Dhabi and is expected to arrive in Jakarta on Saturday.
The head of state is being accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution, Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi, Trade Minister Thomas Lembong, and Chief of the Presidential Staff Teten Masduki, among others.
