"People can also ask about the flight schedules or complain about any aspect, including the functioning of toilets (by calling this number)," the Airport Operation Group Head of Angkasa Pura I, Nugroho Jati, said.Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The state-owned enterprise responsible for the management of airports in Indonesia, PT Angkasa Pura I (API I), has launched a round-the-clock airport contact center number 172 to receive any complaint, question or input from customers.
"People can also ask about the flight schedules or complain about any aspect, including the functioning of toilets (by calling this number)," the Airport Operation Group Head of Angkasa Pura I, Nugroho Jati, said here on Monday.
Angkasa Pura I is currently managing 13 commercial airports in the central and eastern regions of Indonesia that handle a huge passenger traffic. These customers need a communication channel to connect with AP I, the airport operator.
The contact center 172 service, he informed, can be accessed via telephone or mobile phone by dialing 172, or sending an e-mail to: cc172@ap1.co.id, facebook: Angkasapura 172, as well as through twitter: @angkasapura172.
He was optimistic that this contact center will greatly benefit the people as all their questions and complaints will be addressed and resolved within 24 hours.
The contact center 172 is located at Terminal 1 of the Juanda Airport, Surabaya (East Java) and will be operated by 20 employees who will work for 24 hours a day on alternate days.
The contact center 172 advisor, Nunuk Prihatiningsih, disclosed that, in fact, the service has been operating since February 20, 2016 when it was started to coincide with the 52nd anniversary of Angkasa Pura I.
In its four months of operation, she added, the public has been using the service, but not everyone knew about it.
"Every day, there are at least 20 to 40 phone calls to our service line and callers generally ask about the flight schedule," she stated.
She hoped that after four months of operation, the service line will now be utilized by all those accessing airport services.(*)
