"The main idea of the plan is that the Government of Indonesia will bring in a qualified lecturer or chef to give special lessons on Indonesian specialties as an elective subject of choice for students, who are interested in it," the consul general noted in a statement received by Antara here on Tuesday.
Consul General Subolo`s visit to TAFE SA marked a year of cooperation between the Islamic Fashion Institute (IFI) in Bandung and TAFE SA.
Both educational institutions signed a memorandum of cooperation in April 2017 to build mutual understanding. Both parties agreed on real ideas, such as collaborative fashion shows by students of TAFE and IFI at the Adelaide Fashion Festival.
TAFE and Salford College of Business and Hospitality welcomed the idea of the consul general.
"We want to provide a mutually beneficial solution to both TAFE and Salford College as well as to the Government of Indonesia, which plans to bring Adelaide on the map of the Indonesia-Australia relations," Consul General Subolo noted.
According to Subolo, special subjects on Indonesia at the two educational institutions in Adelaide will provide added value to both institutes.
"In addition, it will help to promote Indonesia, which is one of our priorities," the consul general remarked.
The meeting with the two institutions was also attended by Economic Consul Silvia Malau; Consul of Information, Social, and Culture Hermanus Dimara; Head of the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center in Sydney Agung Harris; and Head of the Indonesian Investment Promotion Center in Sydney Sri Moertiningroem.
