The JCM is a ministerial-level bilateral forum between Indonesia and Thailand to facilitate joint cooperation in several sectors.
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affair Arrmanatha Nasir revealed during a press briefing here on Thursday that several issues to be highlighted during the 9th Indonesia-Thailand JCM were related to the fields of economy, trade, tourism, education, politics and security, energy and minerals, agriculture, and fishery, among others.
Officials from both nations will also have the opportunity to exchange views on regional and global issues that are of common interest to them.
Statistics indicated that the total value of trade between Indonesia and Thailand was recorded at US$15.74 billion in 2017.
Indonesia`s main export commodities to Thailand include iron ore, coal, vehicle spare parts, pulp and paper, and seafood products, as it chiefly imported automotive products from Thailand.
Thailand`s investment in Indonesia had reached $220 million in 2017.
