Bandung, W Java (ANTARA News) - The national soccer team of Malaysia beat Kyrgyzstan`s team with a score of 3-1 in the Asian Games Group E match, which was held at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung District on Wednesday.

Malaysia`s goals were scored by Rasid Muhammad Safawi in the 36th minute, Abdul Rashid Muhammad Akhyar in the 60th minute, and Ahmad Muhammad Syafiq in the 78th minute. Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan`s single goal was netted by Ernist Batyrkanov in the 55th minute.

In the early minutes of the first half, the ball always rolled in midfield.

Kyrgyzstan got the first chance in the 6th minute through Abdurakhmanov Odilzhon. His Solo Run action passed two Malaysian players, which were then followed by a kick from outside the penalty box. But Abdurakhmanov`s kick was still wide on the right side of the goal.

Malaysia played aggressively in this match. Two dangerous attacks were successfully launched by Muhammad Akhyar and Muhammad Safik in the 13th and 23rd minutes, respectively.

Malaysia: Muhammad Haziq Nadzli, Baddrol Bakhtiar, Adam Nor Azlin, Muhammad Safawu Rasid, Dominic Jun Jin Tan, Mohd Rizal Mohd Ghazali, Nik Akif Syahiran Nik Mat, Muhammad Irfan Zakaria, Muhammad Akhyar Abdul Rashid, Muhammad Syafiq Ahmad, Muhammad Syazwan Andik Mohd Ishak.

The 2018 Asian Games is scheduled to be held from Aug 18 to Sept 2, 2018 in the cities of Jakarta and Palembang in South Sumatra Province.

Thousands of athletes and officials from 45 Asian countries have been registered for the Games.
