Antoni`s statement regarding the Police`s move to form a joint team to investigate hard watering cases against KPK investigator Novel Baswedan who was judged to have been absent by Prabowo during the presidential debate.
Antoni said that if the National Police really intends to solve the Novel case, the move should be supported by all parties.
"All efforts to resolve novel problems must be supported at any time," he explained.
In the assignment letter of Police Chief numbered Sgas / 3 / I / HUK.6.6 / 2019 issued on January 8, 2019, the police in the joint team were tasked with the work to carry out investigations into the violence that happened to Baswedan Novel.
The assignment letter is valid for six months starting January 8, 2019 until July 7, 2019.
Meanwhile, the Komnas HAM Legal Process Monitoring Team gave recommendations to the Indonesian National Police Chief Police General Tito Karnavian and President Joko Widodo to form a joint team, both from the National Police, the Corruption Eradication Commission, experts and several community leaders.
In addition, Komnas HAM recommends that the President conduct supervision, monitoring, and ensure that the joint team works.
