"Yes, I am wearing this (white) shirt," Jokowi stated, while pointing to the clothes he was wearing, as well as those worn by Amin, after carrying out a prayer in congregation in a mosque in Jakarta, on Thursday, Jan 17.
Jokowi appeared to be wearing a long-sleeved white shirt and black trousers, while Amin also donned a white shirt with a sarong underlay.
When asked whether his family would attend to provide support, Jokowi said his wife would be present at the event.
"Yes, my wife will be there," Jokowi noted.
Previously, Secretary of Jokowi- Amin Campaign Team, Hasto Kristiyanto, noted that the candidate pair wanted to use people`s clothing when appearing at the presidential debate.
"The people`s clothes are simple and do not change their appearance and character as leaders of the people," Kristiyanto remarked in Jakarta on Wednesday (Jan 16).
The General Election Commission (KPU) would hold a total of five presidential debates ahead of elections in April 2019, in a bid to enable the two pairs to present their views in various topics.
The first one, held on Jan 17, bears the theme "law and human rights enforcement and the eradication of corruption and terrorism."
Earlier, on Wednesday (Jan 16), Jokowi-Amin had a rehearsal at Djakarta Theatre in Central Jakarta.
Their opponents, hold number 2 on their ballots, Subianto-Uno`s rehearsal was at Subianto`s private residence in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.
