Gowa, Sulsel (ANTARA) -

At least 100 people from An-Nadzir congregation gathered in the village of Mukn-Nadzir in Romang Lompoa Village, Bonto Marannu District, Gowa District, South Sulawesi, to perform Eid al-Fitr prayer 1440 Hijri.

"This Id Prayer is performed after the stipulation of 1 Shawwal, which fell today after the calculation of monitoring the moon and signs of nature," said the Chairperson of the Supervisory and Responsible Board of Education and Development of the Gowa Nadzir Congregation, Ustadz M Samiruddin Pademmui, after the Eid prayer in the District Gowa, South Sulawesi, on Monday.

According to him, the determination of the 1 Shawwal was made by looking at the full moon in calendar 14, 15 and 16, then counting down before the last three days of Sha'ban. At that time, it is necessary to watch the rising of dawn siddiq. In addition, it can also be observed by seeing other natural signs, such as tidal sea peaks, tides or the direction of the wind.

After the Fajr prayer, the An-Nadzir congregation flocked to the location of the Id prayer while wearing a distinctive black robe. The male congregation wears turbans and members generally have brownish hair, which is characteristic of this congregation.

Whereas female worshipers wear black robes and burkas to cover their faces. Although it is far from a festive impression, because the number of worshipers is limited and it is not the same as pilgrims on holidays, but the congregation remains visible.

After performing the Eid Al-Fitr prayer, the preacher reads the Eid prayer sermons, which carried the theme Eid al-Fitr to restore humanity to the holy.

"After fasting for a month and increasing the number of prayers in the Lail prayer, the day of victory will come," he said.

Following the reading of the sermon, Ustadz Samiruddin closed with a prayer, which was guaranteed by the An-Nadzir congregation, then shook each other as a sign of forgiving each other's mistakes.
