London (ANTARA) - The Indonesian paragliding team won the Paragliding Accuracy World Championship 2019 held in Vrsac City, Serbia, from September 9-17, 2019, which brought together pilots from 128 countries.

Indonesia secured the first place in terms of accuracy, followed by China and Colombia, spokesperson of the Indonesian Embassy in Beograd, Eni Diponegoro, on Wednesday.

Indonesian Ambassador to Serbia, Mochammad Chandra Widya Yudha, attended the closing ceremony of the event and the conferment of the medal on the Indonesian paragliding team.

The ambassador said he was very proud of the performance of the Indonesian paragliding team that had competed in a sporting manner during the Paragliding Accuracy World Championship. The Indonesian paragliding team comprised eight of the best athletes, including Jafro Megawanto, two-time gold medalist of the Paragliding Asian Games 2018. Megawanto is the fourth champion in the men's individual category.
