Kupang, E Nusa Tenggara (ANTARA) - Deputy Governor of East Nusa Tenggara, Josef A Nae Soi, expressed appreciation towards the Ministry of Communication and Informatics for building several telecommunication facilities for the 2023 the G20 Summit and ASEAN Summit. "The ministry played an important role for advancement in the informatics sector at the moment, especially for us in East Nusa Tenggara, in facing the G20 Summit," said Josef A Nae Soi upon confirmation.

The prompt steps taken by the ministry in response to the G20 Summit and ASEAN Summit 2023, by holding a work meeting in Labuan Bajo, is very strategic.

"The availability of adequate telecommunications facilities is very important in facing the preparation of the G20 Summit. We are sure the Ministry of Communication and Information has anticipated this," he said.

Apart from communication facilities, the East Nusa Tenggara government continue to prepare the infrastructure development, in light of the 2023 Summits, including road, water, electricity and sanitation infrastructure, Nae Soi said.

The Deputy Governor also expressed his gratitude towards President Joko Widodo's decision to appoint Labuan Bajo in West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara, as the G20 Summit and ASEAN Summit location.

"This is astounding. This is an international event and 20 country leaders will be here," he said, adding that telecommunication facilities will need to be properly prepared.

The facilities developed by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics also allow local communities to gain access to telecommunication.
