Bogor, W Java (ANTARA) - Rector of the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Prof. Arif Satria, said he has contracted the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) though he has experienced no symptoms.

“In the midst of my hectic activities, at my own initiative, I have taken a swab test on September 18, 2020, and it turned out that the result is positive,” he said in a written statement released on Saturday.

After testing positive for the virus, he decided to carry out his activities online in his capacity as IPB University rector.

Satria said he is in good health.

“I am in good health to continue to carry out my activities and responsibilities as a rector through virtual coordination. I will follow health protocols while I am self isolating until I am declared free from the virus,” he added. (INE)
