Jakarta (ANTARA) - Budget realization for the National Economic Recovery Program (PEN) had reached Rp183.98 trillion until May 21, 2021, or 26.3 percent of the budget ceiling of Rp699.43 trillion, according to Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati.

"(Budget realization for) the 2021 PEN program had reached Rp183.98 trillion from (the budget ceiling of) Rp699 trillion, or 26.3 percent," the minister stated at the KiTA National Budget Press Conference here on Tuesday.

Of the total budget realized for the PEN program, the realization of budget allotted to the health sector had reached Rp31.64 trillion, or 18 percent of the budget ceiling of Rp172.84 trillion.

The figure has increased considerably as compared to the budget ceiling of Rp62.67 trillion in 2020.

"In comparison with the budget ceiling of Rp62 trillion in 2020, this figure increased tremendously, especially for the purchase of vaccines, vaccination programs, and treatment of COVID-19 patients," she pointed out.

Moreover, budget realization for the social security sector had reached Rp57.40 trillion, or 39 percent from the budget ceiling of Rp148.27 trillion.

Budget realization for priority programs reached Rp23.21 trillion, or 18 percent of the budget ceiling of Rp127.85 trillion set by the government.

For the support program for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as well as corporations, the budget disbursed amounted to Rp42.23 trillion, or 22 percent of the budget ceiling of Rp193.74 trillion.

Meanwhile, for the business incentive sector, the budget utilized reached Rp29.51 trillion, or 52 percent of the budget ceiling of Rp56.73 trillion. (INE)
