I request the manager at Sepaku Pratama Hospital to please always maintain hospital facilities and infrastructure properly, so that they can be used optimally
Penajam, Kaltim (ANTARA) - The local government in North Penajam Paser (PPU) District is ready to operate the regional public hospital (RSUD) Pratama in Sepaku Sub-district, East Kalimantan, in Indonesia's future capital.

"We are optimistic that this Type D Pratama Hospital would spur enthusiasm to provide complete and excellent health services," PPU's acting district secretary Muliadi stated here on Saturday.

The work on building RSUD Pratama in Sepaku, with 33 beds, was completed in 2018 but the operational permit was awaited.

The hospital began to operate last Thursday (Aug 5, 2021) and is expected to be accessible to all societal strata, especially people with limited economic capabilities and residents living in Sepaku Sub-district.

Muliadi advised all hospital staff, doctors, nurses, and health workers to continue to conduct their duties, such as providing health services to the public, with a friendly and sincere outlook.

Moreover, a psychological approach toward patients is required while conducting tasks at hospitals to proffer a sense of comfort while undergoing treatment until they recover quickly, he explained.

"I request the manager at Sepaku Pratama Hospital to please always maintain hospital facilities and infrastructure properly, so that they can be used optimally," he remarked.

Muliadi affirmed that the facilities and infrastructure at this hospital were a manifestation of the government's commitment to always supporting the provision of better health services.

The opening of the hospital this month is a special gift for the North Penajam Paser community, especially the residents of Sepaku Sub-district, to welcome the 76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, he stated.

The Indonesian government had earlier designated North Penajam Paser District and Kutai Kartanegara District as the administrative region for the country's future capital. The soon-to-be capital city is expected to be equipped with integrated systems for the transportation, education, and work sectors.
