Jakarta (ANTARA) - A total of 126,227 patients treated at the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta have recovered from COVID-19 as of October 1, 2021, an official informed on Friday.



Head of information of the Joint Regional Military Command, Marine Colonel Aris Mudian, said that the number of recovered patients was based on an accumulation of records since March 23, 2020.



"From March 23, 2020 to October 1, 2021, (the hospital has recorded) 128,139 registered patients and 126,227 recovered patients," he said.

Furthermore, the recapitulation of patients since March 23, 2020 for patients in towers Four, Five, Six, and Seven recorded an increase in the recovery rate, with 30 additional recoveries recorded compared to an earlier count, he informed.



As many as 1,036 patients were referred to other hospitals, he added.



Meanwhile, 596 patients died of COVID-19 at the hospital as of October 1, 2021, he informed.

At least 280 patients are being treated at the hospital currently, an increase compared to the previous report, which had recorded 266 patients, he said.



Meanwhile, the Special Hospital for COVID-19 Infection on Galang Island, Riau Islands province has treated 305 patients who had tested positive for COVID-19, he informed.

The number of inpatients or positive patients at the hospital increased by 10 people when compared to the previous report of 295 patients, he said.



A total of 16,687 patients have been registered at the hospital since April 12, 2020, with 9,041 patients recovering, 7,297 suspected patients completing treatment, 42 patients being referred to other hospitals, and 1 patient dying of the virus at Galang Island Hospital.
