"We have coordinated with related parties, such as the Papua governor, PON Executive Board, and the National Sports Committee (KONI)," Committee Chairman for the Closing Ceremony of the XX Papua PON, M. Umar Reliubun, noted in a written statement on Tuesday.
Reliubun remarked that the closing ceremony of this national multi-sports event will be different from the opening ceremony, with the number of dancers limited to 200.

The ceremony will be held at 19:00 local time and be marked by the presence of several local and national celebrities as well as fireworks shows, akin to the opening ceremony on October 2.
The capacity of the audience seats at the closing ceremony also remains the same as the opening, which is limited to 25 percent.
"That already includes athletes, officials, and other support personnel. All of this aims to reduce the risk of transmitting the coronavirus," he informed.

Spectators and VIP guests attending the closing ceremony will use an invitation as an entry permit and will no longer use a PON identity card or bracelet. Invitations to VIP guests will have a special hologram verified by the presidential security forces (Paspampres).
"Identity cards, vaccine certificates, and invitations are requirements for people keen on attending the closing ceremony. For VIPs, we will coordinate with Paspampres for the technicalities," he explained.
To avoid amassing of crowds, Reliubun suggested people not having the invitation to watch the closing ceremony on television stations or through live streaming on the internet.
