“We assessed that the development of digital villages like the one in Cibiru Wetan Village, Cileunyi Sub-district, Bandung District, must be increased,” member of Commission I of the West Java Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) Ahab Sihabudin stated here, Friday.
Sihabudin explained that the concept applied in Cibiru Wetan Village is the most advanced and unique since out of the several digital villages in West Java, Cibiru Wetan is ready for digitalization.
"This is excellent. The rural communities in West Java must especially participate in ensuring the success of the digital village in a bid to advance rural areas," he affirmed.

Sihabudin believes that the combined innovations would create new inventions that support the village in developing digital technology.
"This renewable innovation is a breakthrough for village development," he noted.
He expressed optimism that the management of similar villages would be expanded through a benchmarking program and mentoring that is provided by developed villages to those that are still lagging behind.

"Of course, the role of local governments is vital, especially in the aspects of service, training, and digital village management," he stated.
Sihabudin noted that one of the digital products that stood out was an application called "Simpel Desa," which can be downloaded by the community.
The smartphone-based application allows the public to access several services, right from administration to economic development.
"People looking to submit their correspondence needs are only required to press the application button through the (Simpel Desa) application," he explained.
