We will prepare an e-katalog (an online shopping app) comprising the MSMEs products promoted at the 2022 MotoGP.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Teten Masduki is optimistic that the preparations of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to be involved at the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP would run smoothly.

Masduki expressed optimism that the racing event would promote the potential of local MSMEs around the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ), Central Lombok District, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province, and help to boost their economy.

"Implementation of the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP was designed by President Joko Widodo to improve trade, tourism, and investment," he remarked while reviewing the readiness of the bazaar points for MSMEs at the Mandalika SEZ, as quoted from a press statement here on Thursday.

Thus, Masduki emphasized that all stakeholders and the community must work towards making the international event a success, not only for the province but also for the MSMEs.

Furthermore, the minister assessed that infrastructure development in NTB Province offered significant benefits for the local community, for instance, through the development of tourist villages, establishment of homestays, and improvements in the culinary sector.

Speaking in connection with the MSMEs exhibition, Masduki spoke of five areas of bazaar that had been readied by the state-owned Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) as the developer and manager of the Mandalika SEZ.

The five areas comprise the east parking area, west parking area, and three sites within the circuit area.

However, Masduki has yet to furnish details regarding the number of MSMEs to be involved in the event.

"We will prepare an e-katalog (an online shopping app) comprising the MSMEs products promoted at the 2022 MotoGP," he remarked.

Various MSMEs products, including culinary, handicrafts, bicycles, and electric motorcycles, will be featured.

“Currently, we still have three months to prepare. I hope the event would be a success and be able to benefit all people," the minister added.

In addition to the bazaar points, he reviewed the arrival and departure points at Lombok International Airport.

The 2022 Mandalika MotoGP will be held on March 18-20, 2022, at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, Central Lombok District, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province.
