Mataram, NTB (ANTARA) - At least 1,630 personnel from the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) regional military, police, government, and other security authorities on Tuesday carried out the final preparations for securing the 2022 MotoGP pre-season test.

“We have carried out all stages of preparations, including pre-operational training, Tactical Floor Game (TFG), and the troop assignment ceremony," deputy head of NTB Regional Police, Brigadier General Ruslan Aspan, informed after leading the troop assignment ceremony.

During the pre-operational training stage, all stakeholders harmonized their perceptions regarding the implementation of security at the pre-season test, he said.

"Meanwhile, we held the TFG on February 7, 2022, to provide a better understanding of the tasks that will be carried out by each party amid the MotoGP pre-season test,” the regional police deputy head added.

The activity also discussed the implementation of security at the five entrance points of Lombok Islands: Lembar Port and Gili Mas Port (West Lombok district), Bangsal Port (North Lombok district), Kayangan Port (East Lombok district), as well as Lombok International Airport (Central Lombok district), he said.

Hence, all of the preparation stages have been completed, he said adding, all stakeholders are ready to secure the 2022 MotoGP pre-season test.

"We hope the community will support and pray for the success of the event. Hopefully, our attempt can make the 2022 MotoGP event at the Mandalika Circuit run safely and smoothly," he remarked.

The 2022 MotoGP pre-season test will take place at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, Central Lombok district, NTB province, on February 11–13, 2022.

Meanwhile, the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP will be held at the circuit on March 18–20, 2022. Around 65 thousand spectators are expected to attend the racing event.
