Expedite the effort to administer the six thousand vaccine doses, and if your stocks deplete, then request for more because we must ensure that the booster vaccine coverage reaches all industrial zones in MedanJakarta (ANTARA) - Industrial zones should not hesitate in requesting for additional COVID-19 booster vaccine stocks and organize more vaccination drives to bolster inoculation coverage and economic recovery in Indonesia, according to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
The president made the statement while visiting a vaccination drive at the Smart Marunda Industrial Zone in Bekasi, West Java, and observing reports from the Medan Industrial Zone, North Sumatra, that had recently received six thousand booster vaccine packages on Thursday.
"Expedite the effort to administer the six thousand vaccine doses, and if your stocks deplete, then request for more because we must ensure that the booster vaccine coverage reaches all industrial zones in Medan," Jokowi noted in his remarks broadcast by the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel.
Jokowi reiterated the government's resolve to ensure that the pandemic does not stall or hinder the industry sector's activities.

"Use all the vaccine stocks. We must ensure that production activities at industrial zones will not be hindered by the COVID-19 pandemic. Production and exports must be continued to bolster our economic recovery," he stated.
The Medan Industrial Zone management informed the president that they will offer the initial 400 vaccine doses out of the available six thousand vaccine packages during the vaccination drive today and would continue to organize vaccination drives until the vaccine stocks get depleted.
Meanwhile, the Krakatau Industrial Zone in Cilegon, Banten, confirmed that the management of the industrial zone had administered 3,500 vaccine doses to industrial zone tenants and staff and will continue the vaccination drive today to vaccinate up to one thousand workers at the industry zone.

The president also received information from Central Java-based PT Pan Brother regarding the company's vaccination target of 1,640 people, with around 300 people to be vaccinated today, while 700 and 640 vaccine doses respectively will be allocated for the two planned vaccination drives.
Earlier, Jokowi had also paid a visit to witness a booster vaccination drive at PT Komatsu Indonesia in North Jakarta and observed reports from other industrial zones in Batam, Riau Islands; Bontang in East Kalimantan; Demak and Sukoharjo in Central Java; and Surabaya in East Java.
