Jokowi's uncle, Suryosardjono, died at 7:50 p.m. local time on Sunday, February 27, at a funeral home on Ahmad Yani Street, Manahan Village, Banjarsari Sub-district, Surakarta City, Central Java.
Sigit, one of Suryosardjono's sons-in-law, informed that Suryosardjono had long suffered from lung disease and had contracted COVID-19.
"He had lung disease and then got infected by COVID-19, so maybe it was long COVID," Sigit stated.
"When Mr. President visited, he still woke up and his (swab test result) was negative," he stated.
Meanwhile, Raka, who is concurrently mayor of Solo City, noted that Suryosardjono, who was the older brother of Jokowi's late mother, Sudjiatmi Notomiharjo, had taught the president about the furniture business.
On the same occasion, Setiawan Prasetyo, Suryosardjono's younger brother, noted that his older brother was a hard worker despite being sick. He left a message for his children to continue to develop his furniture business.
