The Mandalika MotoGP will be held on March 18–20, 2022, at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, Central Lombok District, West Nusa Tenggara Province.
"We have received the direction from the President that since West Nusa Tenggara's second dose vaccination coverage has reached 70 percent, spectators at the Mandalika MotoGP who have been vaccinated twice (fully vaccinated) are no longer required to be tested, both with PCR or antigen tests," he announced at an online press conference on Monday.
According to the minister, the policy will apply to Indonesian spectators as well as those coming from abroad.
In addition, to prevent COVID-19 transmission during the event, the government has reduced the spectators' quota from 200 thousand people to 60 thousand people, he informed.
"The spectator capacity is 60 thousand, and all tickets have been sold out, especially for the third day of the race," he said.
Overall, the achievement of COVID-19 vaccinations in West Nusa Tenggara has reached 92.5 percent for the first dose, 70.6 percent for the second dose, and 3.8 percent for the booster dose, Hartarto revealed.

Meanwhile, when it comes to cities and districts in the province, Mataram has reached 116 percent coverage for the first dose and 86 percent for the second dose, and West Lombok has reached 89.5 percent for the first dose and 70.7 percent for the second dose, he said.
Central Lombok has reached 92 percent coverage for the first dose and 77 percent for the second dose, East Lombok has reached 92.7 percent for the first dose and 63.6 percent for the second dose, and North Lombok has reached 88.5 percent coverage, he added.
The minister then assured of Mandalika's readiness for holding the event.
West Nusa Tenggara is currently at Level 1 public activity restrictions (PPKM).
