“We in the Panselnas (National Selection Committee) team, together with the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) and other relevant institutions, will implement a stricter selection process until the CPNS and the contract-based government employees (PPPK) are recruited,” he said in a statement released here on Monday.
Kumolo expressed the hope that by implementing stricter recruitment rules and processes, there would be no resignations in the future among CPNS who pass the selection.
He stressed that later, if any of the CPNS resign, they will be given strict and severe sanctions as a deterrent.
The minister asked the relevant ministries and non-ministerial government institutions and the BKN to immediately process the re-filling of the positions vacated by the CPNS who have resigned if their employee identification number (NIP) has not been issued.
Based on Article 54 of the Regulation of the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Number 27 of 2021 concerning the Procurement of Civil Servants, applicants who pass the selection will be appointed as CPNS by Civil Service Supervisory Officers (PPK) after obtaining technical approval and getting the NIP from the BKN.

If they resign, they will be banned from civil servant recruitment for the next year. The same policy will also apply to the recruitment of contract-based government employees (PPPK).
The PPK's authority on imposing additional sanctions could be exercised according to the needs of each agency and as determined during the selection announcement.
According to BKN data, recorded as of Friday (May 27, 2022), at least 100 civil servants hired during the 2021 intake have resigned from their positions.
