"Presidential Regulation No. 68 of 2022 concerning the Revitalization of Vocational Education and Vocational Training is a solution for overcoming current problems," acting director of partnership and coordination with the business and industrial world at the Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Ministry, Saryadi, said here on Tuesday.
The ministry is disseminating information on the regulation in some regions, such as Riau in the western part of Indonesia, and Makassar, South Sulawesi, in the eastern part of Indonesia, he informed.

Endeavors to provide information regarding the regulation are also being made throughout Java, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, and East Nusa Tenggara, he said.
The activities are being held for the purpose of consolidation to equalize perceptions, internalize substances, and integrate all resources owned by various parties to realize quality vocational education and training.
Acting deputy for coordination for improving educational quality and religious moderation at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Aris Darmansyah, said that there is a need to form a national vocational coordination team (TKNV).
The team will be tasked with coordinating with relevant stakeholders and improving the competitiveness of human resources to achieve the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.

"In its development, we hope that human resources can take advantage of the infrastructure that has been built, especially for skilled, creative, innovative, and adaptive human resources that currently cannot be fulfilled optimally," Darmansyah said.
It is hoped that vocational education and training programs will produce graduates who can meet the industry's needs, he added.
Darmansyah also said he expected the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), as an institution that represents private players, to contribute to the development of vocational education and training.
