Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy organizes the 2022 Creative Lens Stimulus Program for creative economy players in the film and photography industry across Indonesia that is open on August 10 until August 24, 2022.

The 2022 Creative Lens Program is being implemented as a form of the government's aid in supporting the development of creative economy actors in film and photography, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno noted.

This aims to make them more active and creative in producing films and photography related to Indonesia's natural richness, culture, tradition, and local products, he noted in a statement on Thursday.

The program targets 478 creative economy players comprising 186 individuals/groups from the film community, and 292 individuals/groups from the photography community.

The program provides financial aid worth Rp50 million for film and Rp20 million for photography to each recipient.

"This program is designed to voice out and promote the appeal of tourism destinations and creative economy products in Indonesia through unique and interesting film and photography works," he remarked.

The program will not only increase the number of quality film or photography works but also boost the tourists' interest to visit Indonesia.

"With this, we can realize the national economic recovery," Uno remarked.
