"Of course I and (Jakarta) Governor Anies (Baswedan) will complete our term of office on October 16. Later the President will appoint an acting governor. Whoever he chooses, we will respect, appreciate and support," Patria said while visiting the office of South Jakarta's mayor here on Sunday.
The outgoing deputy governor said he always abides by the existing laws and regulations and respects decisions of the country's president.
He, however, expressed hope that next Governor and Deputy Governor of Jakarta will be able to continue the ongoing programs of the Jakarta administration.
"We will support (them) to continue Jakarta Province's programs and even make them better," he added.
Previously, Ahmad Riza Patria said the current Jakarta Provincial Government would not interfere with the three names of candidates proposed by the Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) to be appointed as acting governor of Jakarta.
The Ministry of Home Affairs had earlier asked the Jakarta DPRD to propose three names of candidates.

Home Minister Tito Karnavian, during a hearing with Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) on August 31, said that his ministry also proposed three names of candidates to succeed Anies Baswedan.
Hence, there will be six names that will be submitted to President Joko Widodo who will make the final decision.
Patria and Anies Baswedan will complete their term of office on Oct 16, 2022, while the next definitive governor and deputy governor of Jakarta will be decided by the results of the simultaneous regional head elections (Pilkada) in 2024.
