The international symposium is realized due to the collaboration between HAPUA and JEPIC for the exchange of knowledge related to electricity, PLN Education and Training Center's General Manager, Rio Adrianto, stated here, Wednesday.
"We expect that this event can encourage the development of the national electric vehicle ecosystem to reach the net zero emission target by 2060," he remarked.
PLN was appointed as the event's organizer. The 2022 HAPUA-JEPIC international symposium is held in a hybrid format with the theme of "Accelerating Electric Vehicles Toward Net Zero Emission."
The meeting discusses several latest developments related to electric vehicles, charging stations, and other related technologies.
It also highlights 16 research results from the PLN group and energy companies from Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines.

At the event, PLN not only invited speakers and delegations from overseas but also lecturers and students from 10 universities chosen to participate in the HAPUA-JEPIC Symposium.
PLN has also prepared the Corporate University (CorpU) Immersive Booth where visitors can sense excitement in learning about electricity using Virtual Reality (VR) equipment.
Moreover, the event features the General Electric Vehicle Switching Station (SPBKLU) booth. To complete the electric vehicle infrastructure, PLN also showcases the General Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU), Home Charging, and electric motorcycles and cars.
Several insights that can be gained from this event encompass knowledge related to the latest electric technology and real actions in reaching net zero emissions, Adrianto noted.
HAPUA is a utilities company organization in Southeast Asia that encourages cooperation between companies to improve the quality of electricity in the region.
