We support collective efforts in developing food resiliency since this is multisector and multi-actor in nature
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Food Agency (NFA) collaborates with the Jakarta Arts Council (DKJ) and Jakarta Art Movement (JAM) in organizing the Mural Art Live Project at the Jakarta Arts Center, Ismail Marzuki Park.

The event, held on December 8-11, 2022, raises the theme of "Local Food Sovereignty" that is taken from the idea that mural art is capable of directly conveying messages to the public.

Mural art is also deemed to be able to illustrate urgent phenomenon that involves several people.

Through his official statement quoted on Friday, Head of NFA Prasetyo Adi noted that multisector collaboration became a key in the efforts to maintain food security.

"We support collective efforts in developing food resiliency since this is multisector and multi-actor in nature," he explained.

"National Food Agency cannot work alone, as it needs synergy and collaboration with all food stakeholders, from upstream to downstream, along with the pentahelix sector, that comprises the government, academics, business, community, and media," he added.

Mural art is expected to deliver the message of food sovereignty, security, safety, and diversity that the NFA has continued to campaign.

The message that mural art delivers is expected to be internalized more easily by the general public, specifically the younger generation, as the nation's successor.
