"We are fully ready, and we are ready with all other business potentials. Perhaps, arriving investors see a new investment potential when they visit us, and we must be ready for that. Still, we need to prepare the third side on this aspect, which is the local entrepreneurs," Acting Governor of Gorontalo Hamka Hendra Noer stated on Thursday.
Noer noted that as the provincial authority's role is to facilitate and mediate the investing parties, it encouraged local entrepreneurs to engage in partnership with Malaysian investors.
The acting governor also expressed optimism that Gorontalo's residents would support the investment, as it is in the best interest of the Gorontalo people.
Meanwhile, the province's Agriculture Office Head, Mulyadi Mario, said that the provincial authority would welcome the visit of Malaysian investors on five occasions in February and March 2023.
"There are five visits that would be made by Malaysian authorities and entrepreneurs on separate occasions. This showed that they are highly responsive to invest (in Gorontalo) and respond to the governor's recent visit to Malaysia," Mario noted.
The office head expounded that the first investor active in the hotel, hospital, housing, and cattle farm industries will arrive next Friday (February 10), while the second investor from Malaysia's Lotus Group is expected to visit the province on February 12-14.
The third visit would be made by members of the Selangor State Executive Committee on March 5-6 followed by the visit of Tan Lam Group and Kobena company on March 7, he noted.
The visits of Malaysian investors would culminate in the visit of Malaysia's Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Mohamad Sabu and another group of investors to the province on March 8-10, Mario remarked.
