Jakarta (ANTARA) - The State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Ministry has urged SOEs to compete in the field of communication and sustainability at the “BUMN Corporate Communications and Sustainability Summit (BCOMSS) 2023.”

This year's BCOMSS will be the third iteration of the event, SOEs Minister Special Staff III Arya Sinulingga said here on Thursday.

The ministry has continued to improve the evaluation standard from year to year, including by involving external judges who are experts in the field to ensure independent and credible evaluation, he added.

According to Sinulingga, 493 submissions have been received from 60 SOEs competing for 24 nominations—12 in the corporate communications section and 12 in the sustainability program section.

BCOMSS is a form of appreciation from the ministry for SOEs' communication and corporate social responsibility (CSR) performance.

The categories within the corporate communications section include social media campaign, media relations management, internal communications implementation, best social media ranger (SMR) individual and company.

They further include the best exposure of the year, best public information openness, stakeholder relations management, corporate secretary of the year, corporate communications of the year, favorite corporate communication of the year, and best content creator.

Meanwhile, for the sustainability program, the categories include SME development, education community involvement and development (CID), health CID, environment CID, and creating shared values.

They also comprise CSR of the year, SOEs local heroes, best millennials CSR, best SOE CSR, SOEs disaster task force, SOEs house facilitator of the year, and SOEs house of the year.

The external judges for the communication categories will be academician and artist Maudy Ayunda and communication practitioner Reisa Broto Asmoro.

Meanwhile, the external judges for the sustainability category will be senior journalist Andy F. Noya and the director of CECT, Trisakti Juniati Gunawan.

The internal judges will be from the ministry itself. The SOEs Minister will also conduct an evaluation.
