"The radiotherapy building is to support efforts in suppressing the high mortality rate of cancer in Indonesia," Prasetyo remarked here on Saturday.
He affirmed that through the RSPAU, the Air Force strives to provide quality health services, not only for the military but also for all communities in Yogyakarta and its surroundings.
He emphasized that natural disaster mitigation facilities are necessary, considering that Indonesia is geographically located in the ring of fire.
"This is to support the role of RSPAU Hardjolukito in disaster mitigation, especially those disasters that occur in Yogyakarta and its surroundings," he remarked.
With the motto of "serving the best," Marshal Prasetyo said RSPAU Hardjolukito paid attention to the comfort of all patients by renovating the facade of the disaster alertness building.
"With these various optimal health facilities and services, RSPAU Hardjolukito obtained an accreditation certificate from the Ministry of Health," he remarked.
In addition to health services, the Air Force continuously seeks to improve the welfare of soldiers, especially in terms of proper housing.
The Air Force constructed the Jatayu Lanud Adisutjipto Military Barrack in the hospital complex.
"The inauguration of the hospital facilities and the military flat strengthens our commitment to improving treatment facilities for military personnel, their families, and the community," he stated.
Meanwhile, Head of RSPAU Hardjolukito First Marshal Mukti Arja Berlian said that the radiotherapy building is equipped with highly sophisticated devices.
He said the building, with development support from the Defense Ministry, is needed in Indonesia, where cancer is among the leading causes of death.
